At our addiction treatment facility in Cincinnati Ohio, our dedicated staff welcomes those seeking help to better their lives for good.
Seeking help is an important step in the recovery process, and should not be overlooked. We understand how difficult it can be to reach out for help, and we are honored to help those who turn to us for assistance. We begin the process of addiction recovery at our drug detox clinic where clients undergo supervised detoxification as the first step in the recovery process. Detoxification is the purging of controlled substances from the body, and our addiction treatment center promotes supervised detoxification for its higher success rate as well as increased safety. Withdrawal can be an unpleasant experience, and for those who have been addicted to a substances for a long time, withdrawal can sometimes be dangerous. Not only does undergoing the detoxification process under supervision allow our trained staff to monitor clients for safety, supervised detoxes are also more effective because supervision offers support and accountability that often isn’t present at home.
During our clients’ time at our addiction treatment facility, we pair individual therapy with group therapy sessions in order to balance out the treatment. During individual therapy, we seek to uncover underlying triggers as well as any other mental or behavioral disorders that may be contributing to addiction. When addiction is identified along with another type of mental issue, it is referred to as a dual diagnosis. Many of our clients require dual diagnosis mental health treatment because addiction is a common coping factor for other behavioral disorders. In addition to individual therapy, our addiction recovery program places an emphasis on creating an environment of support, which is why group therapy plays an important role in treatment. Clients benefit from supportive staff as well as interactions with other clients who are undergoing similar experiences. Group therapy can remind clients that they are not alone in this difficult process.
Successfully completing an addiction recovery program of any kind is a monumental task. Our staff is dedicated to helping clients seek out appropriate aftercare options to maximize their recovery. Upon leaving the drug rehab facility, we encourage clients to enter transitional housing, where they live with others who are recovering from addiction. These places provide a built-in support system in other residents while also encouraging routines that will occupy clients as they readjust to life outside of our addiction recovery facility. Clients are also encouraged to continue both group and individual therapy, especially once they leave transitional housing and move back home. Local support groups are an excellent way to continue sharing experiences with others who can relate to our clients’ problems. Individual therapy helps clients continue to work through issues and triggers that caused them to use in the first place.
Addiction recovery can be difficult, but we believe that individuals can make a positive change in their lives as long as they have the right tools. At our substance abuse treatment center, we are here to provide the support, compassion, and tools necessary to end the cycle of addiction within our addiction recovery center.
